I went to Hakodate Brewery in Nanae, Hokkaido.
Nanae Town is located right next to Hakodate City, a tourist destination in Hokkaido, and Nanae Town also has many tourism resources.

This is not a picture of a sake brewery, but a signboard of Tomihara Shoten. Hakodate Brewery is located near JR Onakayama Station and can be reached by train.

From Hakodate station, there is a train about once an hour, so you can easily go by checking the time.

If you go by car, you won’t be able to taste the sake, but it’s convenient if you go to other sightseeing spots.
Akamatsu Highway
The road near Hakodate Brewery is called “Akamatsu Highway”, and there are many magnificent red pine trees.
Hakodate wine
The Hakodate Wine Factory is located near Hakodate Brewery.
Next to the factory, there is a directly managed store, Budokan, where you can purchase a variety of wines, including limited-edition wines that can only be purchased at the factory.
In addition, there is a tasting corner as shown in the photo below, where you can choose the wine you want to purchase while tasting various wines.
Shop
At the shop, you can purchase sake glasses and sake cups.
Sake
You can purchase sake that is sold exclusively at the brewery.
When you purchase sake, you may receive sake lees as a service.
Tasting is possible
At Hakodate Brewery, we were able to sample it for free.
I was able to taste three types of sake that are limited to sake breweries, and you can purchase the one you like after tasting.
Visiting corner
There is an observation space on the second floor where you can tour the brewery.
When I visited, they seemed to be preparing to make rice koji.
Samples of rice polishing ratio
This is the 1st floor, but samples of the rice polishing ratio are on display, and there are also samples of the rice polishing ratio of ginjo and the “flat rice polishing” that has become common recently.
Free brewed water
Next to the brewery, the brewing water is gushing out, and you can bottle it up and take it home with you.
